We are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join Haymarket's Financial Accounts team. Reporting to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Balance sheet control account reconciliations, including intangible and tangible assets
Revenue recognition across multiple revenue streams via journals and excel models
Stock accounting
Intercompany reconciliations
Management accounting, including variance analysis and forecasting
Involved in annual external audit by producing schedules and responding to queries
Mandatory reporting to government bodies, including National Statistics Office and HMRC
Key skills and attributes we expect you to have or depending on experience demonstrate that you will be able to develop quickly

Working on Excel to an intermediate level
Comfortable in communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Work conscientiously with an accurate and methodical approach to work
Become able to a team player with a flexible and proactive approach
Seeking always to learn and improve your own work whilst contributing to the team and the wider business
Prepared to be flexible during busy periods like month ends and year ends to meet deadlines
