To assist with the delivery of accurate, high-quality and valuable financial information to the senior executives, board and stakeholders of Essentra by working as part of professional reporting consolidation team. The role will report to the Financial Controller although you will also be required to undertake tasks for other members of the Finance Team as required.

The role requires an individual with a high degree of professionalism and we expect the candidate to have an ambition to be a qualified accountant within three years where study support can be provided.
Success in this role will also require a high degree of flexibility, openness to change in processes and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as the role develops and grows.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities
- Ensuring completeness of monthly site submissions.
- To run intercompany reports and chase down and clear intercompany issues each month.
- Responsible for the interaction with a number of Component’s operating regions, and with appropriate support ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Therefore this role will involve liaising with international finance teams.
- Review and preparation of the Finance Control Checklist reports.
- Become a skilled user of the consolidation system (Cognos controller) and back-up support as an admin user in the event of absentees.
- Gain experience in the accounting system (D365) and support with purchase order processing
- Preparation of some key elements of Essentra’s external results announcements and annual financial statements (including for subsidiaries).
- Involvement in other Finance activities such as maintenance of the Essentra Accounting Manual, capex review process, liaison with the auditors etc.
- Ad hoc analysis to provide valuable financial information to non-finance users.
- Assist with the planning and execution of tasks for the interim-end close, year-end close and planning and forecasting periods.
- Assist with monthly engagement meetings and be a key contributor to Finance engagement with other departments.
Skills and Experience
- Has an excellent eye for detail and is motivated to report to an exceptional level of accuracy
- Willingness and determination to chase down and resolve complex issues
- A good work ethic and well organised.
- A keen aptitude to learn and follow fundamental accounting under double entry bookkeeping
- Strong educational background
- Strong excel skills along with an aptitude for picking up new systems and adopting to changes in existing systems
- Flexible team player who is open to change
- Has the ability to understand abstract concepts
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing.
- Ambition for progression into senior finance roles and in taking accountability for new areas
- Ambition to progress to be a qualified accountant within 3 years.
