Assistant Facilities Manager

The Role
An important role within the Estates & Facilities team operating with 3 main functions: 1. Health, Safety & Environmental 2. Hard Services, and 3. Soft Services. Assistant Facilities Manager will be expected to provide robust management and delivery of Soft Services, enhancing student and staff experience across the Ravensbourne buildings.
Responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of Ravensbourne’s Soft FM functions which include the front of house and security (CCTV & access control), cleaning, pest control, waste management, logistics, room set up, stationery, furniture and fittings, helpdesk, and mailroom services.
Leading on the provision of logistical support for all Ravensbourne events, including the strategically important Open Days, Degree Shows, Graduations, and New Student Enrolment. Line-managing Logistics staff, both in-house and outsourced.
The Candidate
You will have proven previous experience of customer focused facilities management and understand the importance of service delivery in the Higher Education sector. You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the University teams, such as Academics, Technical Services, Learning Resources, and Professional Services teams, presenting a can-do attitude. A good team player who is well organised and capable of managing a wide, busy, and varied workload.
