What we’re looking for?
We are looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager who will have responsibility of Facilities Management (FM) services, compliance, and assist with the project management of the WWU depot build Programme.
Facilities Management services cover 26 depots and offices across Wales & the south west of England. The Assistant Facilities Manager will also assist with all invoicing Facilities related along with Frame works, Purchase Orders (PO’s), Invoice plans and limit orders.
We’ll trust you to:
- Support the Facilities manager in the delivery of all Soft and Hard FM Services and admin support
- Support inhouse FM model with various specialist contractors.
- Operate within the FM Budget £2.7m pa
- Support emergency service contact 24/7 x 365
- Improve the working conditions for colleagues
- Manage and process all Facilities related invoices
- Ensure legislative compliance (Electrical, Water, Lifts, Heating, Air Conditioning. Legionnaires etc.)
- Support FM and Construction tender events as subject matter expert
- Support all audit activities including ISO, Environmental and CKI
- Undertake DSE assessments for all colleagues based in our head office in Newport
- Coordinate Ground Maintenance activities including winter preparedness (gritting and ice clearance)

Ideally, you’ll need to have:
- NEBOSH
- Building, plumbing or electrical background/trade/qualification or good understanding
- NVQ Level 3 Customer Service (Diploma) or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Management or equivalent
- Supervisory experience
- First Aid Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
- Automated External Defibrillation Instructor
- First Aid Instructor (Adult & Paediatric)
- Qualified DSE Assessor
- Good Microsoft Excel ,Word and Power-point and skills
