We are currently looking for an Assistant Engineer (Highway/Traffic) to join our team based at Ashford office. The position itself will include, but not be limited to:
- To assist in the delivery of a range of highways & transportation engineering related projects on behalf of both public and private sector clients.
- Assisting the Project Manager on projects in accordance with Client requirements to exceed their expectations.
- Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QMS system.
- Work closely with team members and other Project Centre Staff.
- Contribute to adding value to the team from involvement in team meetings and social events, supporting junior team members, identifying risks, highlighting opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
Our ideal candidate will have but not limited to:
- Accredited Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
- Knowledge and experience of Traffic or Highway Engineering Design and design standards
- Sound understanding of highways and traffic engineering fundamentals and principles and project experience on major projects and / or local roads schemes.
- Working towards professional membership ICE/CIHT.
- Experienced in AutoCAD.
- Beneficial if at minimum has a working knowledge of Civils 3D.
- Beneficial if working knowledge of MS Project.
- Experience in report writing and presentations.
- Experience in Scoping, Concept, Outline & Detailed design schemes.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
