Dynamic Sampling part of the RSK Group have a great opportunity and are looking to recruit Assistant Drillers to join our growing team in Derby, UK. The Role: The role of an Assistant Window Sample Driller is to assist the driller to mobilise and carry out ground investigations on sites nationwide as instructed by an engineer. Responsibilities: To maintain a Safe and Healthy work environment at all times. To assist carry out as instructed work on ground investigations. To train as a window sample driller to NVQ standard. To assist inspect, maintain and report on drilling rigs and other equipment. To assist inspect maintain and report on vehicles condition and roadworthiness. To undertake other related duties to meet the needs of the company. To report to the management team any grievances or unsafe practices in the day to day routine of their job. Due to the nature of the business your job description will inevitably change and you will from time to time be required to undertake other activities within the company as directed by your management team. Person Specification: To have a flexible approach to the working environment during the various stages of investigations. The role also requires flexibility in shift working hours and may involve occasional weekend working. Although the driller will be based at our Derby office, the role will also on occasion require the employee to work away from home. Please note that all suitable applicants will need a full, clean UK drivers licence.
