We are looking for bright talent to be part of the Sales department.

We are currently looking for an energetic and passionate Complex Assistant Director of Sales to join Starhotels team on full time basis to support our three properties in South Kensington Area (SW7).

The Complex Assistant Director of Sales has a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Ensuring that Luxury Leisure sales activities and entertainment are carried out according to the Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Identifying business opportunities with relevant Luxury Leisure agencies and operators and establishing partnerships to generate regular business for the hotels.
  • Organizing and attending familiarization trips and accompanying decision-makers to promote awareness of the hotels and the company's portfolio.
  • Creating comprehensive files for assigned Luxury Leisure accounts/agencies, identifying weaknesses and opportunities, and reporting them in sales meetings.
  • Managing hard files for producing accounts/clients and maintaining them up to date.
  • Establishing and maintaining communication with assigned Luxury Leisure accounts, their overseas accounts, and Regional Sales Offices.
  • Coordinating with Starhotels' Reservations Centre and Luxury Leisure Sales Department to update the Luxury accounts listing.
  • Maintaining an updated database of high-end Luxury Leisure agencies and ensuring its accuracy.
  • Reviewing operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
  • Setting price schedules and discount rates within the Luxury Leisure segment under management supervision.
  • Monitoring customer preferences to focus sales efforts effectively.
  • Reviewing production from Luxury agencies and operators to develop sales and service programs.
  • Directing and coordinating Corporate/Business Travel activities performed by the Corporate Sales Manager and keeping relevant colleagues informed.
  • Supporting the Corporate Sales Manager in handling the renegotiation process with corporate accounts and managing RFPs.
  • Participating in international sales trips, events, and trade association meetings to promote the hotels within key markets.
  • Assessing the business potential of new and existing accounts and implementing activities to convert the potential into business for the hotels.
  • Collaborating with Hotel Representation Companies to maximize business opportunities and enhance the properties' profile.
  • Contributing to policy and procedure development processes by analyzing departmental and interdepartmental activities.
  • Implementing the Luxury Leisure segment sales activities according to the Sales Office's Plan of Action.
  • Developing standard operating procedures for the department.
  • Identifying potential risks, barriers, and changes that could affect the business and formulating solutions.
  • Budgeting and planning costs for the Luxury Leisure segment and guiding the Corporate Sales Manager in doing the same for Corporate/Business Travel.
  • Evaluating, soliciting, selling, and confirming business in assigned accounts to meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Reviewing Luxury Leisure and Business Travel accounts files to ensure proper exchange of information.
  • Minimizing costs creatively and finding cost-effective ways to run Leisure and Business Travel activities.
  • Showing commitment to running daily sales operations.
  • Analyzing sales statistics in the Luxury Leisure segment and implementing actions accordingly.
  • Reviewing market analysis, determining client needs, and contributing to the integration of Reservations, Revenue Sales, and Marketing operations.
  • Collaborating with other hotels' sales managers to solve problems related to specific accounts in the portfolio.
  • Conducting sales calls as required, maintaining communication with key accounts, and enhancing the company's image.
  • Staying updated on competition, industry developments, and sales trends.
  • Contacting assigned customers and other potential customers to promote goodwill and generate additional business.
  • Developing a comprehensive database for improved decision-making and evaluation of work activities.
  • Providing reports to management on sales progress, account coverage, and cost analysis.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Director of Sales and Marketing to address any significant issues promptly.
  • Having a good understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) to assist and inform clients.
  • Fostering a cooperative and productive working environment.
  • Promoting morale, productivity, and efficiency among team members.
  • Performing any other duties as requested.

The successful Assistant Director of Sales candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi task in a fast pace environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and excellent command of the English language (written, reading and spoken).
  • Previous experience working in Hotels is necessary. Boutique hotel experience will be advantageous.
