We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Assistant Designer to join our Sleepwear Team, this designer should have ideally experience in clothing and jersey product, and be an expert with adobe software and PLM, there is also an opportunity to have training and use 3D software as part of this role.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and that can also take initiative and prioritise workload a long side the C.P.

Product handwriting is key and should be driven to push the collection "to the next level". You will work as part of an enthusiastic and fast paced team, delivering beautiful and contemporary sleepwear and loungewear. You will be working within a team of 3 designers, but within a wider lingerie design team.

Key accountabilities and measures
  • Work alongside the Designer to deliver the global product direction
  • Support the Designer with the co-ordination of day to day activities
  • Support the Designer in producing a high standard of CADs, Tech Pack via PLM ensuring a high hit rate and delivering Direct Design targets
  • Work with the Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs, at the right time to meet critical paths
  • Support the Designer to deliver Design Briefs to FSVs when required
  • Support effective working relationships with our Sourcing Office teams and Suppliers
  • Research global retail and trends under the direction of the Designer and Identify and communicate key opportunities
  • Assist in creating design boards, design publications and design DPS presentations
  • Begin to take the initiative to own a product/product type under the Designers direction
Key skills
  • Expert in the field of design with design experience within the Retail industry
  • Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace and product design
  • Experience in Direct Design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of CAD and Tech Packs via PLM
  • High level of proficiency in Design related CAD software to include Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design
  • Multi task orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the critical path
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
