We are currently looking for a dedicated Assistant Designer to join our Kidswear Team. Ideally you will have a clear understanding of the M&S customer, and developing product that’s right for them.
You will be part of a function that is responsible for delivering outstanding garment design across the Kidswear department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and willing to push the handwriting to the next level. You will work as part of an enthusiastic and fast paced team; delivering versatile, modern pieces in the perfect fit & fabric, which have been thoughtfully designed for everyday wear, comfort, and effortless dressing.
Kidswear at M&S is going through an exciting period of change and growth, with sustainability and digital first top priorities for us as a Design Team.

You will need to have a high level of proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g., Photoshop, illustrator, CAD.
- Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace, and product design
- Experience in briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of Tech Packs.
