- JOB TITLE: Assistant Communication Business Partner
- SALARY: £45,054 - £50,060 (Salary may vary on location)
- LOCATION(S): London, Bristol, Halifax & Edinburgh
- HOURS: Full Time
- WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

In this role, you will be part of the Consumer Business Partner team, supporting consumer relationships across our branch and brand network, and our consumer lending businesses. What your day looks like:
Imagine starting your day with a hot cup of coffee and a brainstorming session with your Consumer Business Partnering colleagues. Together, you discuss upcoming initiatives, growth stories, and essential communication opportunities from across Lloyds Banking Group. You feel encouraged as you share ideas and insights, knowing that your contributions will help shape impactful narratives for our customers and stakeholders.
Next, you dive into crafting an engaging agenda for an internal broadcast. You collaborate closely with leaders, understanding their vision and translating it into a captivating storyline. With your excellent attention to detail, you ensure that the flow of the broadcast is flawless, mentoring speakers on their presentation style and incorporating visual elements that enhance their delivery.
In the afternoon, you meet with a key stakeholder to discuss their media plan for a new partnership that offers a leading consumer proposition for Halifax, Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland customers. With your inquisitive nature, you ask thought-provoking questions that uncover their objectives, desired outcomes, and overarching business aims. Armed with this information, you collaborate with the Group Corporate Affairs media relations team to develop a communication plan that not only delivers strong media coverage but also aligns with the strategic vision and the Group’s customer-centric approach.
Throughout the day, you engage with cross-functional teams, including creative agencies and technical experts, to ensure the smooth execution of projects. You thrive in a collaborative environment, leveraging your excellent communication skills to build positive relationships and keep everyone aligned on objectives and expectations.
As the day winds down, you take a moment to reflect on the impact of your work. You feel a sense of fulfilment knowing that your creativity, organisational skills, and passion for storytelling have helped craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience and elevate our brand.

What we need from you!
- Collaborating with colleagues across Consumer Lending, Consumer Relationships and Mass Affluent to develop growth stories and strategic communication opportunities.
- Craft engaging plans for internal engagement, video and digital ideas, and improve content delivery with visually appealing elements.
- Capture feedback from internal colleagues, analyse feedback, and summarise key themes for senior leaders.
- Meet with stakeholders to understand their media plans, objectives, and business aims, and collaborate with the media relations team to develop communication strategies.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects and maintain alignment on objectives.
- Reflect on the impact of your work, knowing that your creativity and storytelling skills have elevated our brands and resonated with our audience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to seek out a phenomenal story that shows how we’re growing with purpose and replay or elevate this so more people hear it
- Collaborative and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders
- Experience of delivering communications through a range of channels in particular face to face events, video production and virtual broadcasts
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills
- Experienced in using Viva Engage suite, in particular Teams Live and Yammer
- A passion for news and current affairs, with an interest in financial services an advantage
