Are you a Graduate Psychologist with the drive to join an experienced and highly motivated Specialist CAMHS Team to deliver responsive and effective services?

We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our FASS team (Family Assessment and Safeguarding Service) and requirean enthusiastic, caring individual with some experience of working in mental health.

We are a mental health team, with expertise in attachment, family trauma, and family relationships. We help families, and the network supporting them, when there are concerns about risk and /or harm to children in their direct care.

We are part of specialist CAMHS services within Oxford Health NHS Trust. FASS work with parents, across Oxfordshire, where there are safeguarding concerns and complex relational difficulties within the family network, directly impacting on the parent and child relationship.

There is scope for wider training opportunities and in addition, they will demonstrate good communication skills, be very organised, flexible and IT literate (proficient with MS Office, including basic MS Excel abilities).

Under regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist you will bedelivering high quality care and inputting into clinical pathway developments, working alongside highly experienced colleagueswith a multi-disciplinary background to assist in the consultations and triage of referrals.

There will be opportunity to train in MBT (mentalisation based therapy),Our focus is on formulating risk from a psychological and systemic perspective, and we provide guidance around case formulation, care planning and management of risks within the family.

As the role will involve participation in audit, service evaluation and service development projectsyou will support the service in collection of routine data and create reports for commissioners and assist in the development of service evaluation within the service. Previous experience of the above is desirable.

We are embedded within Specialist Services, so you will have unique opportunities to explore a career within Forensic CAMHS, as well as the wider CAMHS Teams. Across all these services and teams, you will be exposed to a range of professionals, such as Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Mental Health Nurses who will be willing to share their knowledge with you and develop your expertise.
