Assistant Buyer - Hobbycraft Head Office, Christchurch, BH23 6HG

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm but we have a flexible approach to start and finish times. Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

About the Role
As the Assistant Buyer you will be supporting the Buyer in the development of your ranges and ensuring products are improved in line with the range review plan. You will be responsible for collating and managing samples, setting up new line information on the database, liaising with suppliers and maintaining accurate cost and retail prices. You will prepare daily and weekly store communication, working quickly and effectively to address and resolve any store or supplier issues. Good organisational skills are essential in the preparation and maintenance of the buying calendar & critical path to keep the buying teams activities on track.
About You
- Previous experience working within a buying department would be an advantage.
- Computer literate - experience using Microsoft Office – Excel essential.
- Confident communicator at all levels
- Strong commercial acumen
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Passionate about our product and about putting the customer first.
