The opportunity.
Reporting to the Senior Buyer / Buyer, The Assistant Buyer will be required to support the management of all aspects of a product category area – including range management, pricing strategy, promotional development and execution across stores and online, new product launches, supplier management, forecasting of stock purchases, category performance & market analysis, and product administration.
- Support the Senior Buyer / Buyer in commercial ensuring key KPI’s are met for self and team
- Implement a forward thinking and relevant customer centric plan that effectively delivers all commercial aspects of the products you buy, including digital
- Support the Senior Buyer / Buyer stock and cash against targets
- Support the Senior Buyer / Buyer relationships with suppliers to achieve best in industry
- Manages relationships with all relevant internal departments
- Demonstrates and delivers planning to achieve effective use of time, professional execution of role and personal growth goals
- Resilience, flexibility and a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities working alone or as part of a team
- A professional, confidential and flexible approach to working with people
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and at times conflicting priorities as well as tracking progress on a wide range of tasks
