This is an exciting time to join the directorate as our Assistant Business Manager including the opportunity to shape a new business management function as we continue to grow as a directorate.
You will be an Assistant Business Manager accountable to the Senior Business and Planning Manager. This position assists the smooth delivery of SABP Digital initiatives. You will support the day-to-day delivery and management of planning services, supporting effective Trust and partner wide transformation and delivery. You will work closely with the digital leadership, in particular to critically appraise ideas while unblocking barriers. The role will also be a key point of contact for many individuals and teams external to the SABP Digital directorate.
You will support to deliver a service providing portfolio management, resource planning, business planning, risk management, bid writing, business case development, and financial assurance to the leadership team. This team will increase efficient ways of working across the directorate as well as providing assurance to the Digital Leadership Team. You will develop new and refine existing processes as part of this work, such as evaluation frameworks.
The position focuses on ensuring that SABP Digital ‘does the right thing’ through strategy and governance, as well as ‘doing things right’ through organisational and operational development and performance management.
- Assisting in driving focus and prioritisation across the Digital directorate through improving finance and procurement within digital, supporting portfolio and governance principles and processes. Develop key relationships within digital and in other corporate functions and directorates.
- Support effective facilitation and communication understanding the strategic, clinical and operational needs across the whole organisation to ensure plans and priorities are inclusive.
- Support financial, resource and business planning in critical and high-profile areas across the Trust and its partners
- Review the directorates financial position, and assist the Senior Business and Planning Manager with providing assurance on spend, working with budget managers and reporting as required including into the SABP capital monitoring group
- Guide risk and compliance management processes across SABP Digital to recognised industry standards and nationally mandated levels
