Job description
Animal Workshops Mobile Zoo is looking for fun, energetic person with a passion for animals to join our small multi-award winning team.
If you love entertaining kids and all things animal then this is the job for you!
Duties will include:
Accompanying our presenters to bookings, starting at our base in Mayland- Essex, to venues across the South East of England to provide fun and exciting public and private presentations with our animals.
You will be required to assist our presenters entertain and educate at schools and organisations and children's parties whilst presenting a variety of amazing animals so a confident, outgoing personality and suitable appearance is a must!
You will need to show an ability to handle a large selection of animals including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and birds. You will assist with their care and monitor their well-being whilst out at presentations.
This position would suit someone looking for a second income or searching for part time work to fit around existing work or college/Uni. The more availability you have the more shifts we can offer.
Requirements:
Must be over 16 due to insurance.
Experience with animals is preferred.
Experience working/entertaining children is preferred.
Have a friendly, approachable manner.
Be available to work at least 1 day at the weekend.
Due to our rural location and requirements of the job having your own transport is essential as there isn't regular public transport in the area.
Be prepared to travel around Essex and surrounding areas including London.
DBS checked.
Please keep in mind that this is a very physical job with lots of lifting so a good fitness level is preferred.
