Assistant Client Advisor Level 1, People Advisory Services, Belfast
The opportunity:
As part of a People Advisory Services team, you will assist with delivering excellent services to our clients, advising their HR and tax functions on complex cross border personal income tax and employment tax consequences of employing people in an international context.
A core PAS focus is international relocation, from remote working to mobility policies, global business travel, and reward structures.
PAS are now seeking to hire an additional member of this team in a junior capacity, and provide them not only with an incredible platform to grow and develop their professional experience, but gain exposure to working with some of the most reputable and recognisable clients in the U.K.
Additionally, PAS are fully supportable of providing a fully funded qualification under the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), to provide a platform to begin your journey towards become a fully qualified Tax professional.
Your key responsibilities:
- Working on global mobility issues; including personal tax returns, tax equalisation calculations, dealing with assignees, advising on tax residence
- Social Security Certificate of Coverage preparation for National Insurance
- Employment Benefits disclosure (P11D)
- Employer/Employee Tax assistance (PSA)
- Acting as a first point of contact for some of our clients, providing updates and assisting with advisory work to companies looking to employ and/or move people internationally
- Assisting with tax due diligence projects in conjunction with the transaction taxes team
Skills and attributes for success:
We are looking for a Level 1 who will be starting out on either their first or a new full-time career role, with a keen interest in areas such as Law, Tax, International Business, Migration, as well as:
- Being enthusiastic to learn and develop
- Confident communicate within a team and overseas offices both in speech and writing
- Strong time management: ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Project management or administration skills
- A creative mindset, demonstrating an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
- Good level of skill utilising Excel, Word, PowerPoint
