The role
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be required to take a customer focussed approach to the provision of financial information and analysis and act as first line support for colleagues in Schools who require assistance in relation to financial matters.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of research grants and one of your main tasks will be to ensure that all income and expenditure for each grant is maximised as per the funders’ rules. You will need to produce financial reports during and at the end of the grant term and will need to provide routine, customised reports for academic colleagues.
Other standard tasks include invoicing, approving expenditure on our finance system, MyERP and ensuring indirect costs have been correctly calculated.
You should apply if
- You have an aptitude for working in a financial environment, with strong Excel skills. An ability to prioritise workloads and tasks effectively is essential.
- You have the ability and willingness to learn new procedures and ideas quickly.
- You are highly organised and able to work to strict deadlines while maintaining excellent written and verbal communication skills.
