About the Role
Base Location: Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £28,300 - £42,500 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
What is the Role?
The Group Services Assistant IT Accountant is responsible for providing the accurate and timely execution of general accounting, period end closing, and reporting activities.
This is a varied role with responsibilities including:
- Monthly reporting process through preparation of journals and reviewing accounting data to ensure accuracy of records is maintained while meeting internal reporting deadlines.
- Accounting for CAPEX projects through inception to deployment.
- Maintaining Balance Sheet account reconciliations highlighting and investigating material variances.
- Supporting the audit process.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Good knowledge of core financial systems and general accounting policies and procedures.
- Awareness of current regulations including IFRS/ New UK GAAP and Companies Acts.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and presentation skills.
- Experience of presenting financial information to operational and financial colleagues.
- Ability to problem solve and have a proactive attitude to completing work.
We would also expect you to be studying toward a professional accounting qualification (ACCA,CIMA).
