We’re looking for an aspiring accountant to join our rapidly growing, London-based start-up, offering excellent opportunities for career progression. You’ll be working closely with an experienced Financial Controller, providing support across all aspects of the company’s finance function. To be successful in this role you will need to be versatile and able to prioritise effectively. For more information on the day-to-day activities and what’s on offer, please read on.
The main responsibilities include:
- Managing the company’s finance inbox and assisting with queries from suppliers, customers and employees
- Obtaining and processing supplier invoices ready for approval
- Sending client invoices and completing any related onboarding requests
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Month-end bookkeeping and maintenance of balance sheet schedules
- Produce reports to support monthly payroll
- Assist with the implementation of new systems and processes
- Supporting the Financial Controller and wider company with ad-hoc requests
The ideal candidate will be:
- AAT qualified, hold a finance-related degree, or have recently started an ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- High degree of numeracy
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, and be able to prioritise your workload
- Proven experience of delivering to tight deadlines
- Proficient with Xero, Excel, Google Suite/Office 365, and comfortable with learning different systems, software and tools

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 DOE
