Job description
easyJet has been decisive in meeting the challenges presented by the pandemic by cutting costs, reducing our capex while retaining our fleet flexibility and securing an additional £2bn in funding. As a business we have stuck together, our culture, known as our orange spirit, is a real thing - it’s people who love to work with fast paced, quick thinking and energetic people.
In this role, you will report to the Financial Accountant for Engineering & Maintenance, contributing to accounting, reporting, and business partnering activities related to easyJet's Engineering and Maintenance costs. Your focus will be on ensuring accurate insights and information for stakeholders. You will manage month-end processes for the Engineering and Maintenance P&L line, maintain financial accuracy in Group and entity Balance Sheets, and deliver crucial month-end and year-end tasks for internal and external reporting. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you'll enhance accounting controls aligned with standards and provide support across the Ops Finance Accounting & Control team as needed.
Additionally, you'll assist the Financial Accountant in partnering with the E&M function, collaborating with FP&A teams, contributing to ad-hoc projects, and nurturing effective cross-functional relationships. Your performance will be measured by meeting month-end targets, delivering high-quality analysis and reporting, taking ownership of Engineering & Maintenance balance sheet accounts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the development of a cost-conscious Operations culture.

We are seeking a partially qualified accountant who can confidently engage with substantial, intricate, preferably dynamic organisations. You should be in the process of pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA, or CIMA. As a genuine self-starter, you must exhibit exceptional self-motivation to manage your time effectively and independently initiate your work. Possessing an inquisitive mindset, you should have the assurance and proactivity to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
Your strong attention to detail and established analytical abilities will empower you to recognise and present key insights. You must possess the capability to communicate complex financial concepts comprehensively to both finance and non-finance individuals within a European business context, ensuring the attainment of objectives. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, ranging from intermediate to advanced levels, is essential.

> Competitive base salary
> Up to 20% bonus
> 25 days holiday
> BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
> 5% pension
> Life Assurance
> Flexible benefits package
> Excellent staff travel benefits
