We are looking for an apprentice to join our growing firm from July/August 2023 onwards.
Studying for Level 3 AAT apprenticeship qualification will provide the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting. It is a fully funding course involving day release to Exeter College.
However, the real value of an apprenticeship undertaken at Peplows is the time gaining valuable work experience alongside the rest of the team in providing a range of accounting, bookkeeping, taxation and payroll services to our clients. The exact duties and responsibilities of the position will vary according to the location and department.
Typical duties include:
- Recording financial transactions using a variety of software including Xero and Sage
- Collating and processing tax information to provide a draft tax return for review and approval
- Producing draft sets of accounts ready to be reviewed and approved
- Processing payroll and Pension Auto Enrolment
- Processing correspondence for clients, HMRC and other third parties.
- Further duties and responsibilities of similar level as required.
Hours: 38.25 per week

Training Provided:
1 day at College per week and training whilst working.
Additional Information:
9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm on Friday with 45 mins lunch. 1 day at College (Future Skills Centre) per week.
A minimum of 6 GCSEs grade 9-4 (C or above), including Maths and English (or equivalent)
