Wickes is a digitally led, service enabled business currently undergoing extensive digital transformation. We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Digital Content and Assets Manager to join our team and help in supporting this journey.
You’ll be responsible for developing the strategic content plan to deliver the defined business KPIs. Working with an agency partner you will concept; create; improve and maintain content; you’ll be responsible for overseeing all digital content initiatives to ensure brand consistency and a positive customer experience. You’ll also share content across the business to raise brand awareness and drive engagement; whilst monitoring defined metrics to support performance.
The role sits within the Digital Experience team, reporting to the Senior Digital Experience Manager. You’ll work cross functionally with other teams in Digital, including the Digital Marketing & CRM; Digital Trading and Digital Development teams, whilst working with other stakeholders in our Marketing, IT and Operations functions.
Principle Accountabilities
Developing and owning developing the strategic content plan
Establishing and owning a content calendar to create short and long-term content for specific digital channels and CRM programmes
Planning; developing and monitoring digital content to reach specific audiences or objectives
Alongside production partner; creating engaging content that meets business objectives and brand standards
Ensuring all content produced adheres to the company's brand tone of voice and values
Ownership of agency output and day-to-day relationship management; ensuring al business expectations; ways of working and KPIs are adhered to
Using available analytics to determine engagement metrics
Manage content distribution to wider marketing and digital team
Performing/overseeing audits on existing digital content to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines for tone of voice and optimisation
Collaborating with Digital Design team; CRM team and social team to plan and develop channel-applicable content, style and layout.
Work closely with with the CRM team to identify, develop, track and surface ongoing content that can support the broader Mission Motivation Engine (MME) CRM strategy
Monitoring and researching competitors to identify content gaps
Ensuring high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies
Ensuring content is SEO-compliant
Ensuring content is compliant with law (e.g. copyright; GDPR and data protection)
Leading the Digital Content team (2 heads)
What are we looking for?
You’ll be an experienced Digital Content and Assets Manager with hands-on experience in content optimisation and brand consistency. You will be detail-oriented; a confident communicator and a collaborative team player who is looking to work with a successful team. As well as this you’ll
Have experience of working with an agency partner
Ideally have line management experience
Preferably be proficient in the use of the ContentStack CMS
Have familiarity with software like Adobe Suite and Photoshop
Demonstrate strong stakeholder management
Be experience working with IT and development teams (both in-house and off-shore), utilising project management tools such as Jira and Trello
Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
Ideally have knowledge of SEO principles
An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in budget management
Knowledge of current content marketing trends
