We have an excellent opportunity to join our Assurance team as a Software Asset Management Analyst, reporting to the Software Asset Manager across a multitude of technical platforms and services, with a clear progression path for the right candidate.

ROLE

The SAM Analyst will be responsible for performing operational activities across the management, purchase, deployment, optimization, utilisation, reconciliation and disposal of software applications in use within Redcentric and by its customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties will include, but are not restricted to;

• Providing administrative support to the Software Asset Manager.
• Managing the software licence base for key vendors including Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat and Oracle.
• Continuous monitoring and appropriate allocation of software licences.
• Perform internal software audits and track resultant actions and risks.
• Work with key stakeholders to optimise software spend.
• Provide dashboard reporting and management information for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to departmental and functional strategy.
• Work between internal and operational IT, Information Security, Procurement and external suppliers across multiple software vendors.
• Support the customer billing process for software rentals, to ensure complete and accurate billing.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

• Good knowledge of software licence management and vendor agreements, Microsoft preferred.
• Familiarity with best practices and tools in the Software / Licence Asset Management space.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills
• Knowledge of working within ISO frameworks including ISO20000 and ISO27001
• Good competency of various Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks
