We’re looking for an Asset Manager to join the INEOS Acetyls team. We need highly motivated individuals who want to be part of our growing business.

INEOS Acetyls is a global chemicals business producing acetic acid and a range of derivatives across Europe, Asia and America. We’re part of INEOS - one of the largest petrochemical companies in the world, employing around 26,000 people across 194 sites in 29 countries.

You will be based at the Hull site, which is the largest producer of acetic acid, acetic anhydride and ethyl acetate in Europe. The products we produce are essential building blocks used in almost every industry, including renewable power, automotive, pharmaceuticals, coatings and textiles.

Hull is also home to the business's global Technology Development and Support Team and is based on the 370-acre Saltend Chemicals Park - a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses at the heart of the UK's energy estuary.

The opportunity

As the Asset Manager you will lead all manufacturing and technical activities for the A4 Asset at the Hull Site so that INEOS Acetyls manufacturing objectives for the A4 business and assets are achieved in full compliance with company SHE standards, all legal requirements, and within the approved budget for the Asset. You will be accountable for ensuring the right resources and services are available to assure safe and reliable operations.

Key accountabilities

• Accountable for the SHE standards across the A4 asset.
• Adhere rigorously to the INEOS 20 Safety Principles, Life Saving Rules and Site policies/standards in all elements of asset operations to lead, drive and ensure required operational, SHE and legislative compliance performance.
• Accountable for the technical integrity of the assets.
• Accountable for the definition of the operating envelope, and safe operation within that envelope.
• Deliver production volume against reliability/availability targets.
• Define cash fixed costs budget and control expenses vs. agreed budget.
• Control and minimise Cash Variable Costs.
• Deliver CAPEX investments on time, without SHE incident and to budget.
• Line manage all direct reports in compliance with policies and procedures to ensure current and future manning and development requirements are satisfied.
• Develop, recommend and implement the future manufacturing strategies for the A4 Asset.
• Identify, develop and implement improvement plans across all manufacturing activities, including technology road maps.
• Identify growth & debottleneck projects.
• Guide and coach the operations and maintenance engineers.
• Lead and develop the capabilities of the A4 manufacturing organization.
• Ensure effective communications with the Site Manager to develop and strengthen the business performance.
• Leading part of the Incident management response team for the Ineos Acetyls assets.

About you

We are looking for someone who is degree qualified in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering with substantive experience in Petrochemical Asset operations and who has previous experience of managing the performance measurement of an asset.

You will have a proven track record of leadership roles in chemical production/engineering management with operational experience of COMAH registered installation. A good understanding of business financials is essential along with previous experience in manufacturing areas and technical evaluation.

You will be calm under pressure with an ability to handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment with experience of project planning and executing. You will be self-driven and able to build engaged high performing teams, demonstrating impactful leadership qualities at all times. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is also essential in order to build strong working relationships.
