Purpose of Job
The company designs and manufactures a range of high-precision, electro-mechanical instrumentation for use in the oil and gas industry. The purpose of this role is to mechanically and electronically assemble and test the high-tech instruments and systems to the required industry standards.
Principal Responsibilities
- Ability to interpret circuit and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of electro-mechanical instrumentation.
- Environmental testing of instruments and systems.
- Electronic Trouble shooting to component level, including hand assembling individual components on both surface mount and through hole PCB’s, using high and very high temperature solder.
- Repair, maintenance, and test of client equipment, as required.
- Good maintenance and appropriate storage of test equipment to ensure that all is fully functional when required.
- Good housekeeping at all times.
- Other duties may be included in this role, but which will be consistent with the role.
- Operate in accordance with Guardian procedures and processes at all times.
- Comply with all HS&E requirements
Health and Safety
- High Voltage power supplies used on occasions
- Solder use
- IPA and CoSHH items to be used as instructed in accordance with CoSHH requirements
- PPE requirements (Safety footwear, goggles, gloves, ear protection) – all provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
