About the role
We are currently looking for an Assembly Technician to manufacture precision components, supporting the Manufacturing Manager to fulfil orders on time and to specification.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience of manufacturing precision mechanical components in a ‘clean room’ environment and excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. You will also have a basic understanding of technical drawings and ability to follow instructions. We are looking for a good communicator and problem solver who can work as part of a team. You must be a comfortable user of MS Office package as data entry is a part of this role.
Key duties
- Manufacture and test assemblies and sub-assemblies to documented drawings, layouts and specifications, working to deadline and in accordance with quality standards.
- Ensure documentation and record keeping systems are maintained.
- Identify quality related issues and identify the root cause.
- Support the Team Leader to plan and co-ordinate work through the department.
- Help to review, plan and coordinate stock levels, identifying any potential shortages.
