We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Core Building Technician to join our busy team. This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm. You would be required to work within our in-house Heat Exchanger Core Production Facility as part of a small, dedicated team, where we produce custom high performance alloy Water, Air and Oil Cooler heat exchanger cores for Automotive, Motorsport, Marine, Aerospace and Military applications.
The successful candidate will need to have a calm and methodical approach to tackling various tasks within our busy production areas and be able to work well under pressure. Excellent communication skills, a basic mechanical understanding and the ability to work to tight deadlines using initiative are essential, as is a good eye for detail and an organised approach to work.
Working as a Core Building Technician you will deal with a multitude of different processes, utilizing specialized machines, equipment and tooling.
You will be responsible for preparation of various materials, operation of machinery for cutting and punching of component parts, building and assembling prepared components to full assemblies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Selection of correct materials as specified by the relevant build information.
· Operation of specific equipment, machinery and hand tools in the Core Production department.
· Processing of selected materials in preparation for building.
· Assembly & building of Heat Exchanger Cores in preparation for Brazing.
· Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines.
· Informing Supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues.
· Monitoring & reporting raw material stock levels.
· Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products.
· Keeping work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous material.
· Any other duties that may be required.
