Employing around 200 people across the UK, this impressive engineering business offers end to end services from initial concept design through to ongoing service and aftercare.
Because of continued demand of their impressive machinery, this employer is actively recruiting a number of permanent Assembly fitter vacancies.
This employer is based in LEEDS, just a few miles from the M1 & M62 motorways, meaning the successful candidate will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Bradford, Castleford, Pontefract, Wetherby, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Halifax and Dewsbury.
Key Responsibilities of the Assembly fitter will include:
- Building and assembling a range of bespoke machinery, ensuring that all units are produced in line with drawings & specifications
- Installing various auxiliary components including pipework, decorative panelling and sub-assemblies
- Carefully and accurately following build procedures & instructions
For the Assembly fitter position, we are keen to receive CVs from individuals who possess:
- IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL – Formal qualifications within a relevant subject (Apprenticeship, NVQ/City & Guilds/ BTEC, HNC, HND etc.)
- Previous experience working in a similar role as well as the ability to effectively use hand & power tools
- The ability to read, interpret and work directly from engineering drawings
Working Hours of the Assembly fitter:
39 Per week, spread across a regular day shift
- Monday to Thursday – 07:30 to 15:30
- Friday – 07:30 to 14:30
In return, the Assembly fitter will receive:
- Annual salary: Between £28,500.00 – £30,000.00 per annum
- Frequent overtime available midweek (1.33) and on weekends (1.50 Sat & 2.00)
- Holiday allowance: 31 days including bank holidays – rising to 36 after continued service
- Statutory pension contribution after initial probation period
- Full time, permanent employment with a growing organisation
