The role
We are currently recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join our friendly team at Wavin Limited, Chippenham.
Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, the Assembly Operative will assemble and pack plastic building products in line with company, BS & ISO standards.
The position holder will work positively within a team environment and will need to develop good working relationships with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Assembly standard minute value times to target – Operator outputs.
- Performance to work to list.
- Exceptions reported to the departmental Team Leader.
- Adherence level I responsibilities.
- All non-conforming incidents reported, and relevant paperwork completed with Team Leader.
- Behavioural & safety audits completed to plan.
- To complete a minimum of one Peer to Peer audit per month.
- Ensure all production and process recording systems are completed accurately.
- Ensure that issues are being highlighted to the appropriate support function.
- All production figures are captured accurately as required – SAP booking accuracy.
- Attendance and participation demonstrated in site/departmental improvement teams.
- Undertake training courses as identified by departmental Supervision.
Profile
- General secondary education.
- Must be able to demonstrate manual dexterity.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Practical experience of assembly working.
- Practical experience of medium batch production process.
- Ability to operate bench mounted assembly equipment.
- Willingness to embrace change and improve processes as systems develop.
- Team Player.
- Effective and pro-active communicator.
