VisionAid International is looking to expand their friendly Production Team and are recruiting a full time assembly Technician.
The family owned company designs and manufactures assistive technology solutions that help visually impaired, blind and dyslexic people. The products are truly life changing and help to restore independence, enable employment and maximise education potential. Despite the pandemic, increased demand from our distributors, together with new product developments, more production capacity is required.
Although full training will be provided, we are ideally looking for people with experience in computer assembly, repair, OS installation and configuration together with a mind for fault finding / troubleshooting.
- Experience in PC assembly & repair (soldering & Single Board Computer experience an advantage)
- Windows & Mac Operating system & installation and configuration an advantage
- Experience of Microsoft Office (Google Workspace preferable)
- Well organised with a keen eye for detail
- Proactive, approachable & flexible
- Ability to work independently & as part of a team
Role & Responsibilities
- Manufacturing of VisionAid International Ltd’s products
- Fault finding & repairs of systems
- Preparing systems for shipment
- Booking in deliveries

The role is full time, Monday to Friday 0900 to 1730 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break (40 hours per week)
Salary between £16,000 and £23,000 depending on experience
