Principal purpose or objective of the job:
To fabricate and assemble ‘Pollustop’ units.
Main duties:
Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Position or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
Conduct quality control checks.
Clean and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Experience and Skills Required:
Good communication
Ability to create and interpret technical drawings
Physical fitness and strength to lift materials
Focus on quality control
Dexterity
Health and safety understanding within a manufacturing environment
Teamworking
Previous experience working with hand and motor tools
Previous experience working with sheet metal
