BENCH HAND - TIMBER FRAME OPERATIVE

A well established award winning Timber Frame House Manufacturer based in Lancashire has an exciting opportunity to join the team.

THE ROLE

  • assembling highly insulated timber frame house panels using pneumatic nail guns, drills and hand tools- full training provided.
  • reading manufacturing drawings from an ipad - full training given
  • assisting with unloading and loading of deliveries - full training given
  • shrink wrapping of house panels - full training given
  • ensure effective quality control is maintained
  • complete quality checks and record results, reporting any non-conformances
  • work as part of a team to ensure the work station is audit-ready at all times

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

  • have good attention to detail and quality
  • have good numerical skills
  • ability to meet deadlines during peak workloads
  • ability to apply yourself
  • production is varied so need to be fast paced and accurate
  • keep a tidy and productive workshop with a minimum of supervision
  • be able to work as part of a team and work alongside Management
  • have worked in a similar woodworking environment, manufacturing, production or construction for at for at least 1 years
  • be keen, proactive and reliable
  • have a flexible approach and keen to grow with the company
  • FLT license desirable
