Due to recent investment into Mental Health services, We are launching a number of new developments across both our core CAMHS and our specialist CAMHS provision.
We are thrilled that the development of our core CAMHS provision means that we can offer a new opportunity for an Art Therapist to join our CAMHS Team to support the needs of our children and young people.

The Art Therapist is a member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for accepting, prioritising and assessing referrals to the Service and offering specific psychotherapeutic interventions in the form of art therapy across the geographical area of CAMHS. This involves individual, group and family work and often entails the role of case holder.
The post holder is a resource for the whole team in relation to creative therapeutic interventions/approaches and including working with young people who can be difficult to engage.
In addition to clients assessed as requiring art therapy, the post holder also undertakes generic initial assessment for the CAMHS and participates in shared CAMHS rotas (duty calls, on call urgent assessment, dealing with referrals).
Supervision and support will be available from a senior clinician of an appropriate discipline within the CAMHS team or wider Children’s and Specialist Directorate as appropriate
