Keith Drury Art showcases the vibrant art of internationally renowned artist, Keith Drury. The gallery is situated on the thriving Belmont Road in East Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a sales assistant. If you are a motivated individual with experience in sales or marketing, an interest in the Arts, and initiative and drive, we want to hear from you!
Summary of Main Duties:
· Assist with a variety of daily operational tasks in the art gallery.
· Present a professional interface at front of house, helping to assist customers and secure sales.
· Record sales and help in the framing department with respect to preparing customer and trade orders.
· Take telephone calls and deal with customer email inquiries in a professional manner.
· Liaise with company directors to co-ordinate a creative strategy to help promote Keith Drury Art, including shop window and gallery displays.
· Help with marketing campaigns, utilising a variety of different channels and platforms to both raise the company’s profile and secure sales.
· Willingness and ability to research art galleries and other sales outlets to extend current trade-based outlets for Keith Drury Art in ROI, mainland UK and internationally.
· Occasionally assist at marketing meetings, events and promotional evenings.
Essential Personnel Skills, Qualities and Experience:
· Previous marketing/sales and/or retail experience.
· Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional telephone manner.
· Motivated, energetic, proactive with a positive and persuasive approach to help secure sales.
· Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box.
· Conscientious with excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks, learn quickly and display initiative.
· Very good IT skills, preferably including experience of Adobe Photoshop, Excel, as well as the ability to post and advertise on social media channels.
· Ability to work to deadlines.
· Good time-keeper.
· Honest and discreet.
· Respectful of company ethos and have a genuine interest in the Arts.
· Willingness to work on own, or as part of a close-knit team.
· Desire to ‘pitch in’ with directors and the rest of the team to meet company objectives.
· Flexibility to work various hours as and when required.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 12 per week
Salary: From £11.00 per hour
