We are repositioning Waterford and Wedgwood brands into true luxury lifestyle and together with accessible Royal Doulton and Royal Albert brands these are the strong drivers behind our big growth ambitions for English & Crystal Brands (ECB). For the newly launched Business Unit (BU) English & Crystal Brands, we are looking for an Art Director, a creative brand builder who knows how to develop creative concepts based on our business strategy, creative vision and commercial plan.
The Art Director plays a crucial role in translating the creative vision and the integrated commercial plan into creative assets for all consumer touchpoints of the Business Unit globally.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Develop visual style and design directions for marketing material, including creating and developing creative concepts aligned with the BU strategy, Creative Vision and integrated commercial plan
- Making sure messages are strengthened by conveying meaning visually if needed, as well as through the accompanying words
- Making sure copy and content is in line with our creative vision, Brand Visual Identity and Brand Tone of Voice
- Collaborate with marketing, packaging etc. to ensure cohesiveness and high quality across all marketing touchpoints and media formats.
- Review and approve content and copy for BU, in collaboration with the Creative Director where needed
- Ensuring quality and cohesiveness across brand
- Stay current on industry trends and continuously seek out new techniques and technology
- Understanding the target audience and proposed media to be used in the campaign
- Educate and motivate internal stakeholders in our Brand Visual Identity
- Lead a team of internal creatives and work closely together across BU teams and local market teams
Travel will be within Ireland and the UK
About you, our perfect candidate should have:
- Excellent visual design skills and understanding of color theory, typography and composition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively communicate concepts
- Good project management skills, including ability to prioritize and manage different projects simultaneously
- Minimum 5 years work experience in an international luxury/premium goods company in a similar role or team
- Fluent written and spoken English
