Job description
UAL Short Courses Ltd is expanding its fashion programmes, presenting exciting opportunities for experienced fashion industry professionals, teachers, and lecturers to join a pool of teaching staff. These hourly paid roles offer the chance to further expand your career potential whilst bringing unique, creative, learning opportunities to diverse groups of learners in our colleges and online.
As part of a pool of teachers delivering fashion courses both face to face and online, you will plan and deliver a block of sessions that will develop and engage learners. Courses are scheduled throughout the year including evenings, weekends, and holidays (sessions and times you deliver can be negotiated).
For the fourth consecutive year, UAL is ranked second for Art and Design education in the QS University World Rankings by Subject 2022. Our diverse and talented community comprises over 5,000 academic, professional, and technical staff. Together we are committed to social purpose. This includes creating a better and more sustainable world and championing race equality.
Teaching for UALSC gives you the chance to design and deliver your own curriculum, teach in one of our award-winning buildings and join a community of experienced short course tutors. You will enjoy flexible teaching hours, a competitive hourly rate and access to many staff facilities.
You will enjoy incorporating your own specialism and style and have a good understanding of the fashion industry. You will be either a practitioner with teaching experience, have a PGCE or be working towards one. You will be confident working with different age groups and be skilled at creating a dynamic and inclusive environment in which to learn.
Our pool of professionals includes practitioners, fashion lecturers/tutors and teaching professionals who have taken a formal break. We welcome the diverse experience everyone brings.
If you feel you meet the criteria and are interested in this exciting opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
