Art and Design Technician – East London – ASAP start – Temp to perm opportunity
A secondary school in East London is looking for an Art and Design Technician to join their team ASAP. This is a full time, term time only temporary role with the potential to lead into a permanent position. The role is paying between £11 - £14 per hour.

About the Role
The school are looking to appoint a passionate and creative Art and Design Technician to provide outstanding support to the Art and Design Departments. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining studios and workshops, ensuring all equipment, machinery and tools are correctly maintained, stored and handled as well as preparing materials and setting up for lessons. The role will involve in-class support, providing demonstrations to students and assisting teaching staff and students in classes.
Key Requirements
The successful applicant will have a degree in Art or Design. Previous experience in an Art or DT Technician role will be highly regarded, but is not essential. The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of health and safety in the workplace and experience working with a range of Art and Design Technology equipment.
