Art & Design Technician
We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic person to join our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be a committed, inspirational and dynamic individual with a passion for providing technical support to Visual Arts provision. The faculty has well equipped dedicated teaching classrooms and studio space. An ability to maintain and support in these areas and maintain equipment is essential.
The technician will be working as part of our highly successful Faculty for Visual and Performing Arts. The college offers a wide range of courses in this area including: A levels in Fine Art, Textiles, Graphics and Photography together with CTEC Level 3 Art and Design and UAL Level 2 Art and Design. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, have the ability to work with students and in possession of strong organisational and time management skills.
Itchen College is a thriving Sixth Form College with a broad curriculum offer to meet the needs of the local community. The college is situated in pleasant surroundings to the east of Southampton with excellent local transport links. Hours: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Support Staff Scale Range 5-6, £20,584.00 - £20,981.00 FTE p/a, pro rata
