Job Title: Operations Manager - London & South East

JOB ROLE:
To supervise the operation of the business to ensure that the highest standards are achieved and maintained in the business and that all legal specifications are adhered to in line with the Health & Safety. The roles is a client-facing role that embraces operational management of the business and is responsible for the profitability of the business. Term time working with 35 days annual leave, only 5 days allowed to be taken in term time.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to the Operations Director
- The day to day operations of the business
- Ensuring that all financial targets are met and exceeded with regards to revenue and profit
- Maintaining customer satisfaction
- To ensure that the business is operated to the highest standards and values
- Ensuring that all departments operate within agreed budgets and achieve agreed targets
- Implement systems for reviewing all operating costs to ensure that they are consistently in line with focused revenue in conjunction with the Financial Controller and report back on these
- Ensure that in conjunction with Managers and Cooks we are addressing customers’ needs and brand values
- Liaise with clients on service development
- Ensure each unit operates in compliance with all legal requirements
- To ensure H.R. procedures are followed in each unit
- To pro-actively develop Managers and Cooks
- Ensure all agreed control procedures are followed through in each unit
- Conduct appraisals for all direct reports on annual basis
- Agree objectives in line with business and brand objectives and values, and ensure Cooks carry out appraisals with their teams
- Comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Licensing and Food Handling and ensure that yourself and all members of the team are aware of and working in accordance with these requirements
- Active role in sales tender proposals and presentations
- Identify added value business opportunities i.e. new services
- Support sales process and contract negotiations
- Develop food standards and initiatives to deliver on going food innovation
- Ensure effective management controls and relevant business processes are in the business
- Plans and implementation of business events
- Evidence of contract compliance and of operating standards of performance adhered to in the business
- Mobilisation of new business in line with the planned timetable
- Compiles budget with Operations Director
- Monitors cash and stock movements including carrying out audits including cash & stock
- Monitor client invoicing
- Carry out costing for all products and services sold within units ensuring that all additional work is correctly charged to client
- Implement company bookwork and ensure it is submitted correctly
