Job description
This role is part of the Adults Placement, Brokerage & Market Management team, working as part of a team of 5 Care Quality Officers, monitoring the social care services/providers for a range of client groups, including older people and people with physical disabilities, people recovering from a mental illness and people with a learning disability.
The successful candidate will have a varied portfolio across service types and clients’ groups. You will need to have knowledge of Adult’s Social Care policy and legislation and experience of working with providers. The role is demanding and must be continually carried out to an efficient and high standard. It also involves utilisation of databases and Excel spreadsheets, writing reports, traveling around the borough and on occasion outside of the borough to visit providers, handling of sometimes challenging conversations and a great deal of resilience and initiative. This role would best suit an individual with experience of working in an Adult Social Care role, engaging with providers and/or service users.
As a Care Quality Officer, you will be the key link to providers on quality and standards required from providers.
