Area Store Manager what?
As an Area Manager at Greens Retail you will be ultimately responsible for the overall management and running of retail estate. This currently entails 20 operating convenience stores within Dundee and above though will be very quickly increasing. We're looking for exceptional individuals that don't shy away from a challenge and will constantly go above and beyond to deliver the best convenience store chain in the country.
This position is field-based and you will be required to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks in order to allow you to meet KPIs and objectives. Predominantly you will spend most of your time in stores although there will also require to be some time spent at our Head Office in Kirkcaldy.
You will be required to provide a high level of support for all of the stores in your area, ensuring that company policy and procedures are followed and adhered to, as well as providing a source of guidance and knowledge in the numerous areas that are managed within the convenience sector. Most significantly, you will be responsible for driving team morale, innovation and creativity within stores.

Some specific ongoing responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop a strong management team (and in turn store teams) - all aimed at providing a great customer experience
- Create an exceptional working environment
- Ensure Business KPIs are being met
- Liaise with store managers to create strong links with the local community and host local events
- Ensure efficient day to day operation of stores with a focus on stores consistently delivering the highest store standards
- Colleague recruitment, mentoring, training and identifying progression opportunities
- Ensure a clean, swift and efficient operation - complying with health & safety as well as other processes and procedures
