Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a clinical photographer to join a forward thinking and innovative Medical Illustration team and the opportunity to work in one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK. covering Solihull, Good Hope and the Queen Elizabeth Hospitals.
We currently provide a wide range of clinical imaging and general photographic services,and are developing both 3D and Thermography to promote both innovation and research. The department works for a variety of specialities including ophthalmology, maxillo facial, burns & plastics and dermatology.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, technical ability, to become a member of our team who is self motivated and enthusiastic.

We would expect the candidate to hold a degree in Medical Illustration, or a degree in Photography plus the post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Photography and be AHCS registered.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
Responsible for providing clinical photography and ophthalmic retinal photography and fluorescein/ICG angiography for diagnosis, case records, education, research and publication.
Responsible for providing a general photographic support service for patient information, research, publication, education and public relations.
To deputise for the senior clinical photographer in their absence.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in Medical Illustration / Clinical Photography or a Degree in Photography together with a PGC in Medical Illustration, or equivalence.
Academy for HealthCare Science registration
Desirable
- Member of IMI or other professional body
Experience
Essential
- Professional Standards.
- Adobe Bridge/ Adobe Photoshop/ Adobe Camera Raw Software.
- Digital DSLR.
- Extensive experience post-qualification as a clinical photographer.
- Wide range of clinical photography and non-clinical photography skills and knowledge.
- Data Protection.
- Consent and confidentiality.
Desirable
- Experience in working in different hospitals.
- Nikon DSLR/Mirrorless cameras.
- Use of Adobe DNG convertor.
Knowledge of non propriety Raw files

- A commitment to improving patient services through an ability to sustain a clear performance focus on achieving demanding goals.
