Job Description You must be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development, relevant post registration skills, experience, education and training. You will also need to have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team accompanied by line management skills and experience of at least 5 years. IT skills including e.g. email, work processing, accessing results reports, SCI-DC, caseload/workload date inputting, Argyll and Bute council systems e.g. Carefirst. Due to the requirements of the role the candidate must hold a current driving license. Various locations of vacancies include : Area Manager - Kintyre and Islay Area Manager - Mid Argyll Area Manager - Oban, Lorn and Isles Area Manager - Cowal Area Manager - Bute Area Manager - Helensburgh and Lomond If successful in this role you will provide an integrated health and social care service to the population of the local area covering all adult community health and social care services. Duties of the role will include: Leadership - Lead and manage a team of health and social care practitioners providing an adult health and social care service to adults within the local area ensuring services utilise the advantages of integration to deliver improved outcomes for individuals. Clinical/Professional - Ensure appropriate professional/clinical leadership between of all staff in partnership with the relevant professional lead. Financial - Manage the team budget while liaising with relevant professional leads to make financial decisions in order to maintain a balanced budget and act as a signatory Functional leadership - Attend relevant locality /area meetings with Team Lead colleagues and Professional Leads and develop an integrated team workforce plan with Senior Manager, while managing recruitment process in selecting new team members when new vacancies arise. Conduct regular workload measurement and caseload profiling along with maintaining up to date and in depth understanding of local and national health and social policy with a working knowledge of Adult Support & Protection and Adults with Incapacity Patient Service/service user focus - Seek opportunities to work with and provide education to carers, patient support groups and wider public, raising awareness of Admission, Transfer and Discharge and Devolved Decision Making processes and changes in care practices across different settings.
