Working in the Archives & Heritage team you will report to the Group Archivist and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of archive and document preservation services for the Assessment Archive. You will assist in the day-to-day management of services, working alongside archivists and information management professionals to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks. You will be helping us to meet the professional archival standards we advocate and represent.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Assessment Archive Team as an Admin Assistant and support the management, development, and delivery of our Archives & Heritage services. We are exploring new and better ways to serve researchers across the globe. The main responsibilities will include a range of tasks such as:
- Arranging and servicing meetings and preparing meeting documentation
- Dealing with routine assessment related enquiries and visitors and processing payments
- Carrying out a range of office administration duties including some that are specific to archive administration and management
- Assisting with the preparation of documentation for our outreach projects
- Undertaking document preservation and some downloading and listing tasks for both physical and digital archive and resource collections
- Providing general administrative support to the Group Archivist and the archive team
- Supporting work and projects of the wider Archives & Heritage outlets
Most of the duties require onsite working although occasional home working will be possible.

About you
You must be highly motivated, with strong IT and administrative skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly. You will have a high attention to detail on repetitive tasks, excellent organisational skills, and work with a flexible, cheerful, and professional approach. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work well as part of a small team and on your own initiative.
