Architecture Systems Manager
Purpose of role:
Support the documenting of Primark’s business systems and technology landscape.
Act as a single point of contact and a centre of excellence for the Primark Architectural repository.
Provide administrative support for the Architectural toolset (specifically the repository).
Take a leading role in driving the ongoing development of the Primark Architecture repository.
Leverage and promote the use of the Primark architecture repository, its process, and function.
Support the ongoing Technology transformation programme.
Provide administrative support to the Technology Business Design team and wider Architecture community. Provide operational and managerial support to the architectural governance processes.
Location:
Hybrid working from home and office, with Reading or Dublin as base location.
Occasional travel between head office locations will be a requirement of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and operate the Primark IT Architecture Repository
- Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and support of the central architecture repository in alignment with the Business Design team roadmap/backlog.
- Drive and promote the adoption of best practice and standards in the enterprise architecture repository.
- Produce/Maintain Architecture repository-based enterprise-wide high-level system schematics and landscape representations.
- Manage Architecture repository-based corporate reference models including, but not limited to, Business Capability and Data models.
- Manage Architecture repository-based catalogues (e.g., Application catalogue)
- Develop, maintain, document, and operate Architectural reporting.
- Provide advice and guidance support to the architecture repository user base. (i.e. being the COE for the Architecture repository)
- User management (including Architecture repository user setup and training)
- Support the management and operation of architecture governance.
- Input to the Business Design Practice strategy
- Work with architecture team and technology/business leaders to develop strategic roadmaps leveraging the enterprise architecture repository

- all architecture functions (e.g., Principle, Domain, infrastructure, security, integration and Solution Architects)
- key IT functions including Project Managers, Business Analysts and Product leadership.
Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience:
- Ideally educated to degree level in a computing or business discipline or equivalent.
- Experience using and/or administering an Enterprise Architecture tool or similar broad technology repository (e.g. CMDB) is a requirement for the role.
- Understanding of Meta modelling would be an advantage.
- Understanding of TOGAF and ADM methodologies would be an advantage.
- Superior documentation and diagramming skills (Expert use of Microsoft Visio would be an advantage).
- Good understanding of current IT technologies.
- Broad familiarity with all major IT disciplines.
- Broad understanding of system integration technologies.
- Broad familiarity with technology delivery and implementation methodologies and toolsets.
- Experience working in an enterprise architectural function would be an advantage.

- Highly organised, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines.
