Busy Bristol based client is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist (ACIAT or MCIAT member) to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate would have experience in both residential and commercial projects along with the ability to produce a range of drawings from feasibility stage through to full construction details. Knowledge of historic building construction would also be highly desirable.
This is a Multidisciplinary business with a developing reputation for delivering world class projects that are refined, sustainable and functional, which withstand the test of time in terms of style, performance and user needs. Their projects include education buildings, technical facilities, hotels, leisure, workplace and private one-off commissions.

You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating a high level diligence and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Production of Technical drawings and details
- Assistance with formulating and communicating the brief effectively to colleagues as required
- Carry out studies and design proposals for review
- Co-operate with other members of the design team
- Work closely with clients to understand goals and to develop and support viable solutions
- Ensure design proposals conform to the latest planning policies, building regulations and technical standard
- Preparation of detailed design/ technical drawings and specifications
- Providing a practical and methodical approach to solving problems, working to fixed budgets and working within deadlines
- Managing planning applications, Building Regulations
- Inspection of building work on site
- Develop customer relationships to find additional opportunities to address their challenges
Qualifications:
- Technical design experience required
- ACIAT or MCIAT member
- Private practice experience
- Experience in Revit desirable
- Ability to express ideas effectively, orally, graphically and in writing
- Knowledge of UK best practice standards
