Job description
Are you a motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant with a passion for sustainable, socially useful architecture?
Are you seeking a dynamic role that will stretch your skills across various stages of design? If yes, then here's a full-time opportunity in London that might be the perfect next step for your career.
We are partnering with a remarkable architectural practice that prides itself on being radical makers of sustainable, socially useful architecture. With thriving studios in London and Berlin, they have claimed the prestigious Stirling Prize and are known for their innovative projects across all scales and sectors on an international stage.
Now, they are looking for talented Part 2 Architectural Assistants to join their team in London. Rather than restricting you to one sector or project stage, this role offers exposure to diverse stages of design, right from early concepts to completion, through design development and technical design. A high level of design competency is a must.
In this role, you will be working as part of a project team, developing architectural and technical solutions, and coordinating designs with other consultants. You'll use your skills to work with BIM, generate CAD drawings and schedules, reports, visualisations, and build architectural models.
The ideal candidate? You have excellent English communication skills and you're well organised. You've demonstrated your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and you've shown great flexibility and versatility in working on various project types, at various stages and scales. Your ability to learn from your peers as well as independently will stand you in good stead. Good knowledge of Revit and Adobe Creative Suite is a minimum requirement, and if you have experience with Rhino, SketchUp, Vectorworks/AutoCAD and rendering software, even better.
Here's what they offer in return: A very sociable and relaxed studio atmosphere where architectural assistants play a full and active role. There are opportunities to take on responsibility within projects and for extracurricular events and activities. Plus, they support architectural assistants working towards their Part 3 with up to five days’ paid study leave.
If you're excited to be part of a progressive architectural practice, and you believe you have the skills and drive they're looking for, we would love to hear from you. Let's discuss how this opportunity can propel your career to new heights!
