Job description
The Art of Building is looking for an experienced architectural assistant / technician to join our small friendly team at our office in Woodhouse Eaves.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in design/architecture and has a willingness to learn and progress within the team. We are a small but growing team with a variety of exciting projects currently running within both residential and commercial sectors.
The ideal candidate should possess skills and experience;
- A strong varied design portfolio
- Excellent presentation skills with a keen eye for visual quality
- Be able to competently use or be keen to learn AutoCAD 2D / 3D / Sketchup / Lumion
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Ability to produce drawings/designs on a range of projects for clients across the UK
- Be creative and take initiative
- Be passionate about architecture and design, with a desire to learn and to progress in a supportive environment
- Ability to work as part of a team on larger projects, but also individually
- Outstanding organizational skills to work to tight deadlines, client requirements and varying workloads
- Be willing to attend site visits / site surveys
- Full UK/EU Driving License
The position will be full-time, permanent and office based in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire therefore a short commute would be advantageous.
