Job Title: Architect

Business Unit & Location: Birmingham

Reports to: Director

Approximate Salary: Subject to experience.

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to assist in the control of our current projects, future projects and processes. The architect is to have a proven previous portfolio of being able to work on projects throughout all RIBA stages and delivering buildings especially around RIBA Stages 4-7. Experience in AutoCAD and Adobe Suites (Photoshop, InDesign) and is a must/essential and Revit/Rhino ability is preferred, but not essential. (Training courses will be available for Revit)

We work in a variety of sectors, but are residential specialists with over 80+ live projects. The goal for the architect is to be able to run the internal processes, making sure projects are completed on time, to budget, conducting performance reviews of themselves and other staff members and to become an integral member of the team.

The aspiration is for the architect to be able to grow within the business, with performance bonuses available. We are structured differently to conventional practices whereby a profit share is something we are able to offer to our team members quarterly.

The job holder is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to both new and old clients, as well as clearly communicate client requirements and goals within the business. It is essential for the candidate to be charismatic, friendly, bubbly and above all passionate about architecture.

Role Primary Accountabilities and Deliverables:

Controlling current workload volumes and delivering on projects, including:

· Not expected to bring work in or clients/ however should the opportunity arise, loyalty or some clients would be honoured with small commission and recognition.

· Occasional networking with our client relationship manager, including fun active events throughout the year.

· They will have full industry knowledge and experience, delivering projects throughout the RIBA Stages

· Being able to manage projects efficiently and effectively, delegating and distributing projects to the right team member below them.

· They will know of quality management systems to ensure the quality of work never suffers.

· Continuous Improvement – Identifying and presenting initiatives to improve the customer experience and or reduce costs.

· They will review timesheets and inefficiencies, recommending improvements and ways to make further money within.

· Be Adobe and AutoCAD proficient.

· Know BIM processes and standards, being able to deliver.

· Knowledge and proficiency in Revit is preferred but not essential.

· Being able to conduct Contract Administration role is essential.

· Being able to conduct Principle Designer role is preferred.

· Having a car and a UK driving license.

· Identifying client issues and concerns ensuring that they are resolved within an efficient manner and communicating them to the appropriate internal personnel.

· To adhere to all Security, Health & Safety and housekeeping policies and processes.

General: Accountabilities and Deliverables

· Attending client meetings nationally as required.

· Attending networking events around the country if they would like too.

· Providing full documentation of the content and all action points agreed within both internal and client meetings, communicating them to the relevant personnel and ensuring that they are fully completed within the agreed timeframes.

· Being a good communicator, making sure team is aware of deadlines and if things go wrong.

· Providing a point of escalation for client concerns.

· Seeks methods of enhancing client communication through the development and implementation of strategies that streamline processes.

· Attendance and comments on monthly/fortnightly internal meetings.

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
