Job Description
The objective of the programme is to build a sustainable and scalable banking and payments platform and supporting operations.
Our client is looking for an experienced technical solution architect to lead the product build.
We are working with Jira to create and maintain a backlog and catalogue of work required to build and deliver the new banking and payments platform. The Solution Architect will be the accountable owner for the build and delivery of the banking and payments platform.
What your day-to-day looks like
Responsible for the technical and business architecture of the banking and payments platform.
Runs the Technical Design Authority on behalf of the Chair.
Responsible for developing, defining, and overseeing the product solution and roadmap.
Makes prioritisation decisions across the programme and is responsible for breaking work out between the product mission teams.
Ensures the roadmap enables incremental delivery and integration of the product in a way that is valuable and usable by our clients’ customers.
Ensures the solution is adequately documented particularly design decisions / intent, principles and patterns.
Attending governance and reporting forums and committees (where appropriate).
Works closely with the Head of Ops and Reg change as a stakeholder and provider of backlog to ensure the product meets regulatory requirements and is operable.
Line manages and coach the product owners leading the mission teams.
Responsible for engaging extensively with clients, to understand their needs and collect feedback on the banking and payments product
Work with the Chief Architect in managing the architects and making architecture decisions for the platform to ensure the product will provide a world-class customer experience, NFRs with bank grade security and resilience
Actively participate in design sessions for new stories with engineers and testers within the agile teams to manage scope and system boundaries.
Engage with engineering leadership in understanding and agreeing on low level technical patterns and technology choices ensuring product NFRs are fulfilled.
